Hjort Knudsen is a Danish family business that designs, manufactures and sells furniture all over the world. With a variety of patented products and a sense of innovation and craftsmanship, the company stands out as one of the industry’s largest on the Swedish market. We caught up with Jonas Törnqwist, Swedish Sales Manager at Hjort Knudsen, to discuss his thoughts and expectations for the 2023 Möbelmässan 2023.
Why are you exhibiting at Möbelmässan Gothenburg?
– Möbelmässan is a great fair, and we had a good feeling about it last year. In addition, many, many customers were very satisfied with previous years and said that they are looking forward to this year’s edition. Expanding from two to three days feels good for all parties, both exhibitors and visitors.
We hope that it can even contribute to a transfer from Stockholm to Gothenburg as the
capital of the furniture industry.
Why should visitors come to your stand?
– We will present many new products this year. It is particularly exciting that we have launched many completely new products for Hjort Knudsen – beds, sofa beds and a large selection of wooden furniture and dining chairs. We are present in many markets around the world, so for us it is important that our assortment also reflects these, that we make use of global influences in our designs. Things are moving forward and so are we, which is a development we want to show during the three days. We hope to be able to contribute with inspiration through our exciting products and many face-to-face meetings.
What products are you offering?
– Basically, we supply armchairs. Right now we are putting a lot of effort into furniture for seniors and technical furniture with motors. The development of functional furniture is moving forward at an accelerating pace, and we want to be at the forefront. In addition, we offer sofas, dining tables, chairs and wooden chairs and furniture. For some time now, we have also started selling beds and sofa beds. It’s great to have such a wide range of products to offer our customers.
