Just six months after launch, Qvist Studio’s lighting collection is already available through more than 150 retailers. This September, the family-owned company will exhibit at Gothenburg Furniture Fair for the first time.
“We’re seeing strong demand for our products and hope to connect with even more furniture retailers at the fair,” says Robin Johansson.
Mango wood from India and premium fabrics from Poland are among the materials used in Qvist Studio’s lighting collection.
The result is a range of products—often characterised by soft, rounded shapes—that combine quality craftsmanship with accessible pricing.
“We’re product people. We love designing, selecting materials and colours, and creating products that resonate with customers. I’d say we modernise classic forms while staying close to market needs,” says Robin Johansson, one of the founders of Qvist Studio, established in 2025.
The brand appeals to a broad audience, offering lighting solutions for every room and setting.
“Our lampshades featuring Morris-inspired patterns attract customers in their eighties, while major young influencers are also choosing our products,” says Robin’s brother, Christoffer Lindqvist, who runs the company alongside him.
Decades of Experience in the Lighting Industry
The family has deep roots in the lighting industry. Their father, Per-Anders Lindqvist, founded PR Home in the 1980s, where both brothers previously worked.
After Per-Anders sold the company in 2018, it didn’t take long before the brothers realised they wanted to bring something of their own to the market.
“What we love about lighting is that it combines form and function,” says Robin. “A lamp is beautiful even when it’s switched off, but once it’s turned on, it transforms a space and serves a practical purpose.”
With their father acting as an advisor, they began developing the Qvist Studio brand while benefiting from his long-standing network of manufacturing contacts in India.
Available Through 150 Retailers
Launching Qvist Studio has proven to be a successful move. Demand for the collection has been strong since day one.
“During our first months in business, we secured placement with 150 retailers across Sweden. We focus particularly on physical retail stores, while also partnering with quality e-commerce retailers that value more than just price,” says Robin.
This year, Qvist Studio has chosen to exhibit at Gothenburg Furniture Fair after attending as visitors in 2025.
“We came away with a fantastic impression of the fair. We also spoke with Aneta Lighting, who had extremely positive things to say about the event.”
Why Should Visitors Stop by Your Stand?
“We operate in an industry where new brands don’t emerge very often. We’re a new player, and we hope visitors will find us exciting and worth discovering. Most of all, we’re looking forward to meeting new potential retail partners,” says Christoffer Lindqvist.
