OUR HISTORY
A Danish family with passion for furniture
In 1991 the Danish Kristensen family began retailing interior products. The passion for furniture grew through the years and in 2003 the family bought a factory in Lithuania. Since then Kristensen & Kristensen has grown several times and the production has been modernized to demand a sustainable and safe working environment. Today we employ more than 250 skilled workers in the 8.000 m2 carpentry and smithy. Since the very beginning our head office has been placed on the western coast of Jutland in Denmark.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
High quality & proud crafting traditions
At the factory we have our own drying ovens and sawmill. This means that we can control the process from the first rough cuts of the wood and down to the final details. We stand out by performing extraordinary hand sorting and processing of the wood. This passion for the old crafting methodes is reflected in our designs. Working with solid wood, where each piece is truely unique, we need and depend on the human mind and skill.

Custommade products in every aspect
Flexibility is a key part of our DNA and is present in all of our ranges. 90% of our products are custommade which means that we are able to meet our customers special wishes and create furniture in a unique size and look. As standard we offer a great palette of 11 different colours, 5 tactile surface effects, a huge number of designs and optional sizes. All these combinations mean that we truly can offer our customers endless possibilities.
SUSTAINABILITY
Working with materials that last for generations
Our goal is to create furniture that can last for generations. Wood can be described as a sustainable material, as it contributes to the decomposition of CO2 during its photosynthesis in the forest. The process where the wood is processed and transformed into furniture is not very resource-intensive, and if the end product is taken good care of - the furniture production does not belong among the great climate sinners. We can not deny the fact that all modern production and especially transportation is a burden for the environment. But it is our ambition that the inevitable climate footprint we make, will be offset by well designed, high quality furniture that can last for generations.
FSC® CERTIFICATE
A commitment for a better tomorrow
We are happy to announce that from 2021 we have achieved the certification that enables us to offer FSC®-labeled products. FSC® stands for ”Forest Stewardship Council” and is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to promote responsible forestry. FSC® certifies forests all over the world to ensure that they meet the highest environmental and social standards. By signing this contract, we have committed ourselves to living up to stricter social requirements as well as sustainable ones. We are proud of supporting the FSC® looking after forest- and wood workers and fighting unsustainable, illegal forestry and deforestation.
